Constructing Obama with CNT

More Obamamania.

How do you celebrate Obama becoming President? By researching on him, I mean by constructing carbon nanotube (CNT) images of him. John Hart, Sameh Tawfick, Michael De Volder, and Will Walker used 150 million CNT to construct each image of our dear Mr President. For those who are not in the field of science & technology, CNT are one of the most 'In' material now. They are another allotrope of carbon other than the diamond and graphite people commonly knows. Discovered fairly recently, they can be used in fields of energy, medicine, electronics, communications etc, anything from making solar cells to constructing a nanowire that will be strong enough to bring you to the moon via an elevator.

Before all that becomes reality, these people decide to have some fun with CNT at the same time. Looks like we have a new commercial application of CNT: to draw potraits. The only problem is equipping and being trained with a microscope at home.
